I have been having different versions of permanent make up eyebrows for the past 30 years. I had layers of old ink and have been having that ink removed by laser for some months. I have absolutely no hair as it has never grown since my teenage years so she had very little to start with, other than the faded outline of the old ink. Does it hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as minimal — a light scratching feeling at most. A topical numbing cream is applied during treatment. The vast majority of clients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the experience is.
How long do Hyper-Realism Nano Brows last?
Nano Brows typically last between 2-3 years before a colour refresh is needed, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Recurring top-ups keep results looking their best.
What's the difference between Hyperrealism/Nano Brows and Microblading?
Microblading uses a manual blade to create cuts in the skin, usually with very uniform and 2-dimensional looking strokes. Nano Brows use an ultra-fine needle at precise depth and pressure, creating hair strokes with more texture and dimension, for an ultra realisic look. They are longer-lasting — with significantly less trauma to the skin. Suitable for a wider range of skin types, including oily skin.
What happens during the healing process?
Brows will appear slightly more defined for the first week, then lighten significantly as the skin heals. The true healed result is visible at 4–6 weeks. Your complimentary top-up at 6–8 weeks refines anything that needs addressing.
Am I suitable for Hyperrealism/Nano Brows?
Nano Brows are suitable for most skin types, including oily skin, which is where microblading (a different technique to Nano Brows) can be less effective. A consultation will assess your skin and discuss your goals before any commitment is made. The main contraindication is usually if there is too much pigment still in the skin from previous work.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is based on a short consultation where I assess your underlying skin characteristics and natural brow profile. This includes sun damage, skin condition, medication, and natural brow variables such as density, hair growth, and overall brow area. These elements determine the level of work required and ensure accurate, tailored pricing. Exact pricing is confirmed during your free consultation, where Alex can see your brows in person or over video and tailor the quote properly.
